In England, Verne writes in his diary . . . .


Flew a short practice mission. Prop wash on landing, but took off okay. Letter from Ken1 and he is okay and has two missions in.

1 Verne’s brother-in-law, 1st Lt. Kenneth E. Cline, a B-24 pilot with the 392nd Bombardment Group (H), 577th Bombardment Squadron (H) at Wendling.
