Kenneth Cline and his flight crew return to the 392nd Bombardment Group’s base at Wendling after their flak leave. Ken doesn’t feel well. He is ill.

While they were enjoying their leave, the 392nd Bombardment Group, as did other 8th Air Force units, began flying Trolley Missions.¹ These missions gave the ground crews and other non-flying personnel an opportunity to see the damage wrought in Germany. Such missions by the 392nd Bombardment Group ended on 13 May.
