Thursday

In England, Verne writes in his diary . . . .

02-08-45

Loafed about camp playing cards etc. Was very sick this morning with headache and upset stomach. Felt low all day. Going on pass in the morning. Sent Aileen a cable for Valentine’s Day. Wish I could have sent her something besides my Air Medal. Clothing is all dirty and unfit to wear on pass but must wear it to go.1

Notes & Commentary

1 Laundry facilities at Station 153 appear to have been in short supply.
