Verne continues to record bits and pieces of his day . . .

Storming to beat the band today. Reminds me of a blizzard in the States. Took a bath. Loafed around the barracks. No mail today. Pass is coming up tomorrow. Plan to go to London once again and see parts of the city I missed last time. All the crew is going this time. Keeping pretty warm now that we have some bomb rings to burn.1

Notes & Commentary

1 Bomb rings, the separators from the crates in which bombs were packed. Wooden crates and boxes furnished the raw materials with which to build furniture, etc.
